Our Special Needs Cats
While every cat is special, some cats have special needs.
At Love & Hope, we evaluate each cat that we take for a variety of conditions: feline leukemia (FeLV), feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV); obesity; mouth problems; and psychological needs.
And some cats that come to us have been neglected for so long that they’re semi-feral.
The reality is that many of the cats who come to us will never be adopted. But we’ll still care for them. We’ll provide them a warm, comfortable place to live and sleep, good food and endless affection.
Our Sanctuary has:
- Communal rooms for elderly and overweight cats.
- A room for feral and semi-feral cats.
- Isolation rooms for cats experiencing acute illness.
- A room devoted to FIV-positive cats.
- A separate living area for cats with feline leukemia.
They may stay with us for years, or maybe just a few weeks. But however long they are with us, they’ll have the lives they were meant to have, and they will have fun.
